About
Dr. Pradeep K. Shukla is an Assistant Professor (Research) at the Centre for Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology. He works across geomechanics, geotechnical analysis, petrophysics, and applied geophysics, focusing on stress–strain behaviour, pore-pressure prediction, wellbore stability, and subsurface risk assessment. He integrates well-log interpretation, rock physics, and seismic methods with AI/ML to enhance reservoir characterization and clean-energy studies, including natural hydrogen and gas hydrates.
He holds a PhD in Applied Geophysics from BHU Varanasi and completed postdoctoral research at IIT Bombay and IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. Dr. Shukla has published in SCIE-indexed journals, served as a reviewer, and received the 1st National Award at the India AI & GSI Hackathon 2025 for his AI-based mineral targeting solution supporting India’s net-zero vision.
