About
Dr. Ananta Kumar Atta joined the Department of Chemistry at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India, in December 2023 as an Associate Professor. Before joining NIT Jamshedpur, he was an Associate Professor at NIT Arunachal Pradesh. He joined NIT Arunachal Pradesh as an Assistant Professor in 2013. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2010 from the Indian Institute of Technology-Kharagpur (IIT-KGP) in the field of carbohydrate chemistry. He pursued his postdoctoral studies in supramolecular chemistry with Prof. Dong Gyu Cho at Inha University, Incheon, South Korea, from 2010 to 2013. He was awarded the DST Young Scientist Award in 2015 and elected as a fellow of the Indian Chemical Society (FICS) in 2019.
