About

Dr. A. Sivakami is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at Sri Eshwar College of Engineering since May 2023. She has over 11 years of teaching experience, having served in various academic positions including Lecturer, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor. In addition, she has six years of full-time research experience from 2008 to 2014. She received her Ph.D. in Physics from Anna University, Chennai, in 2015. Her research interests include solar cells, low-dimensional semiconducting systems, electrochemical sensors, and supercapacitors. She was awarded the DST-JRF (2008–2009) and CSIR-SRF (2010–2013) fellowships to support her research work. Dr. Sivakami has published more than 23 papers in SCI/WoS and Scopus-indexed journals, authored one book, contributed seven book chapters, and filed five patents. She is a life member of the Magnetic Society of India (MSI). She has submitted core research proposals to various funding agencies, including DST-ANRF, N-PDF and TNSCST. She has also been invited as a resource person to deliver lectures on career opportunities for physics graduates and on Quantum Computing. She regularly serves as a reviewer for reputed journals from Elsevier (Journal of Molecular Structure, Materials Today: Proceedings, Obesity Medicine, Internet of Things, etc.), Springer (Topics in Catalysis, Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Electronics, Journal of Materials Science, etc.), and RSC Advances. She was recognized as a research supervisor by Anna University, Chennai, in 2016 and is currently guiding one full-time research scholar in the field of supercapacitors. In her previous institutions, she has held key roles including NBA/NAAC Coordinator, Institution Innovation Cell Convener, and AISHE Nodal Officer.
