Basabdatta Sen Bhattacharya is currently working as a Research Fellow in Neuromorphic Computing, School of Computer Science, University of Manchester, UK. Prior to her current position, she served as an Associate Professor at the Computer Science and Engineering Department, Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, K.K. Birla Goa Campus, India from 2018 to 2026. Prior to moving to India in 2018, she has been a researcher with the Advanced Processor Technologies group, School of Computer Science, University of Manchester, UK. Dr. Sen Bhattacharya received her B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar, India in 1992, M.Eng. in Electronics Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India, in 2002 and PhD in Computer Science from University of Manchester, UK, in 2008. Prior to the current position, she has worked as Lecturer, School of Engineering, University of Lincoln, UK (2012-2016), post-doctoral researcher at the University of Ulster, UK (2009-2012) and the University of Bordeaux, France (2009). Prior to her Master Degree and career switch to Academia, she has worked in the industry in India during 1992 - 1999.

Dr. Sen Bhattacharya's research interests and skills are in the areas of Neuromorphic Computing and Computational Neuroscience.
