About

Animesh Mandal, a native of West Bengal, India, received a B.Sc. (2005), and an M.Sc. (2007) in Physics from University of Calcutta and Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IITD), respectively. In 2013, Mr. Mandal received a doctorate (PhD) degree in Geophysics from the department of Geology and Geophysics, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. Since April, 2015, Dr. Mandal has been working as a faculty member at the department of Earth Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India; first as an Assistant Professor (April 2015 to June 2022) and currently as an Associate Professor. His current research interests include integrated geophysical research, near surface geophysics, geophysical data processing/enhancement and modeling, seismic attribute analysis and interpretation. He is a life member of Indian Geophysical Union (IGU), an associate member of Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), USA; and annual member of AGU, and EAGE.
