About
Raj Kumar obtained his M.S. (Pharm.) in Medicinal Chemistry (2002) and his Ph..D. (2007) from the NIPER, India, then completed his postdoctoral assignment (2007–2008) at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, University of Maryland, U.S., with Professor R. S. Hosmane. Dr. Kumar worked on structural studies and synthesis of xanthine oxidase inhibitors and currently engaged in the rationale design of novel anticancer agents demonstrating single or multiple inhibitions of APE1, EGFR, and topoisomerases with reduced toxicity and is having more than 40 publications. Presently, Dr. Kumar is recruited in the Central University of Punjab, India, as Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Natural Products.
