About
Jugal Mohapatra is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, India. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mathematics from Utkal University and completed his Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati. Prior to joining NIT Rourkela, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Mathematics and Applications, Bhubaneswar.
His research focuses on numerical methods for singular perturbation problems and fractional differential equations, with significant contributions in developing efficient numerical schemes. He has published over 125 research papers in reputed international journals, along with books and book chapters, and has guided several Ph.D. scholars.
Dr. Mohapatra has delivered invited talks at numerous national and international conferences, and has organized workshops, short-term courses, and conferences. He also serves as a reviewer for leading publishers, a reviewer for Mathematical Reviews (AMS), and as an editorial board member of international journals.
