About
Sanjay Basumatary, born on September 09, 1983, is from Tulshijhora (Tipkai) of Kokrajhar, India. He started his school education at his own village, Tulshijhora LP school. Then he was shifted to Tipkai LP school in class 2 (standard 2) till standard 4. He then completed ME school education from Tipkai K. C. ME school, and pursued his class 8th standard at Tipkai HS School in Bodo medium. Then he moved to Sapatgram Amalgamated Academy and completed his H.S.L.C. in 2000. He did his H.S. in science from BRPL Vidyalaya, Dhaligaon in 2002, B.Sc. from Kokrajhar Govt. College in 2005 and MSc in Chemistry from Gauhati University in 2007. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Gauhati University in 2012 under the supervision of Prof. Dibakar Chandra Deka. He joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Bineswar Brahma Engineering College, Kokrajhar (India) on August 09, 2010. Thereafter, he joined Bodoland University (India) on August 26, 2014, and became the Professor of Chemistry at Bodoland University on November 15, 2021. His research interests include renewable energy, biodiesel, catalysis, natural products, carbon dots, wastewater treatment and adsorption. He has published several research papers in national and international journals and also presented papers at national and international conferences.
