About

Dr. Prasad P. is a distinguished academician and researcher with over two decades of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership. He has a diverse research portfolio in biocompatible polymers, nanocomposites, and polymer blends with applications in biomedical and environmental domains.

Dr. Prasad holds a Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry from Visvesvaraya Technological University and has guided three Ph.D. scholars in advanced materials and nanotechnology. He has authored 43 international research publications, 35 conference papers, and 25 books with ISBNs. He has successfully led a ₹30 lakh funded research project under VGST and organized several faculty development programs including an AICTE-ATAL FDP.

Recognized as an Innovation Ambassador by MoE’s Innovation Cell, he has conducted 22 hands-on workshops on Design Thinking, reaching hundreds of engineering students across disciplines. His expertise also extends to online content creation, having developed full-course materials for VTU on topics such as Innovation and Design Thinking, Engineering Chemistry, and Research Methodology.

Dr. Prasad is a member of multiple academic boards (BoS, BoE) at university level and has received several awards for research excellence and academic service. His passion lies in interdisciplinary innovation, AI-assisted education, and the integration of sustainable technologies in science and engineering education.
