About
I am currently working as Associate Professor of Epidemiology at Department of Community Medicine & School of Public Health, PGIMER, Chandigarh. Previously i have worked with prestigious international organizations like CDC, WHO & UNICEF in NCDs, Polio, immunization programs and flood relief activities in India. I have over 20 years experience in implementing public health programs. I am trained in Field Epidemiology as an Indian Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer from the first cohort. I hold more than 90 scientific publications in journals of national and international repute. My area of interests are epidemiology of communicable and non communicable diseases, maternal and child health, vaccinology, health econometrics, public health emergencies including outbreak investigations and disaster management, disease modelling and air quality. I hold a master's degree (MD) in community medicine from Manipal University, India and graduated from the India Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS), National Centre for Disease Control, India, in collaboration with the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, USA.
