About

Dr Anup Das, Director, ICAR RCER, Patna has contributed immensely in pioneering Research activities in natural resource management covering conservation agriculture, climate resilient agriculture, sustainable agri-food system/integrated farming system (IFS), organic farming and C-sequestration aspects under different land use systems of NEH & Eastern Region of India. His work has focused on developing sustainable agricultural practices, improving crop yields, efficient use of natural resources, environmental quality and enhancing livelihoods of farmers. He has published extensively (Total citations of 6780 with H index 46) and received numerous awards (Fellow, NAAS, ICAR-Lal Bahadur Shastri Outstanding Young scientist award, ICAR-Swami Shahajanand Saraswati outstanding extension scientist award, First HK Jain- CAU, Imphal award, ICAR Interdisciplinary team research award, ICAR Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed award and others) for his contributions to Indian Agriculture. He has organised more than 20 National International seminar and events/farmers fair/workshops etc as Chairman/Organizing Secretary/Joint Secretary etc on important aspects of National and importance . He is editor and reviewers of more than 40 National and International journals of repute and served as Vice President, Indian Association of Hill Farming (IAHF), Secretary/Joint Secretary of IAHF and Presently, Vice President of Indian Society of Agronomy, New Delhi. He has also served as President and Chief Editor of SAAI. In addition he is engaged in capacity building activities like teaching, training, demonstration and extension programme benefitting> 50000 farmers in NEH region and ~15,000 in Eastern Region of India.
