About

Pritam Pain completed a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata, India, followed by an M.Tech in Manufacturing Science from Haldia Institute of Technology, Haldia, India. Beginning his academic career as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at JLD College of Engineering and Management, he later joined Haldia Institute of Technology, where he currently serves in the same capacity.

Driven by a deep curiosity about how physical bodies interact and function as integrated systems, his professional interests lie in the fields of nontraditional and modern machining processes. He is particularly focused on process optimization using nature-inspired meta-heuristic techniques. His passion for research and teaching continues to inspire his contributions to advanced manufacturing and mechanical systems.
