About
I received my PhD degree in Chemistry from Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, in February of 2019. My PhD thesis, with the title ‘Carbon nanostructures –from mechanical properties to interactions’, was developed in a cutting-edge research field that results from the intersection between the scientific areas of carbon chemistry, emergent nanomaterials and computational mechanics. My work has been centered in the computational modelling at the nanoscale of carbon nanostructures and their interactions with other materials, for advanced technological applications.
