About
I'm Dr. Pangambam Sendash Singh (Ph.D.), currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Applications at Doctor Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar (A Central University), Madhya Pradesh, India. Before joining here, I held brief academic appointments as an Assistant Professor at the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun, and at Manipal University Jaipur. I also served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institut Català d’Arqueologia Clàssica (ICAC), Tarragona, Spain, where I was hosted by Prof. Héctor A. Orengo Romeu under the project MAHSA.
I earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, India in 2022. My Ph.D. research work was fully supported by UGC's Junior/Senior Research Fellowship Scheme, and focussed on Computational Intelligence, Deep Learning and their applications in Multispectral and Hyperspectral Image Analysis.
Prior to my doctoral studies, I completed an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics from D.M. College of Science, Imphal (under Manipur University).
My research is driven by a passion for solving real-world problems through innovations in Machine Learning. I enjoy developing foundational techniques inspired by practical challenges, particularly those that lie at the intersection of computer science and other disciplines.
Outside of academia, I have a deep interest in the arts — I enjoy writing poetry, listening to music, singing, and playing musical instruments.
