About
Myself Dr. Kowsalya Vellingiri obtained M.Sc. from the P.S.G.R. Krishnammal College, Bharathiar University, Tamilnadu, India in 2012. Received Ph.D. degree from Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea under the guidance of Professor Ki-Hyun Kim in 2017. I have worked as a DST-Nanoscience and Technology post-doctoral Fellow at Indian Institute of Technology Madras under Prof.Ligy Philip. So far 40 research papers was published in highly reputed international journals and holding citation of greater than 1200 with the hindex of 23 and i10index of 32. Currently working as a research associate in IIT Madras. Received Rank holder award in BSc. and MSc degree examination, Best thesis award in PhD, Best student award in research
My research interests includes,
i) The synthesis of metal organic frameworks and their potential applications toward sorptive removal and/or luminescent sensing of hazardous pollutants.
ii) Waste remediation using solid adsorbent,
iii) Development of fluorescent based sensors,
iv) Synthesis of poly-dispersible metal-organic frameworks and their application in gaseous and aqueous pollutant treatment.
