Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava (emails: [email protected], [email protected]) is currently serving as a Dean, International Relations & Professor of Chemical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, India.
His major research interests are Alternative Fuels, CO2 utilization, Desulfurization, Wastewater Treatment, Solid waste management, etc. He has authored >260 in ISI peer-reviewed journals, 8 patents, 16 book chapters, and >150 papers in conferences/seminars. He has received >16,400 citations (as per Scopus as of Dec. 2024) with an h-index of 65. He has supervised 22 Ph.D. thesis, and 17 more are in progress. In addition, he has supervised 56 M.Tech. dissertations. Prof. Vimal has handled several sponsored and consultancy projects (>15) with a total overlay of more than three hundred million INR (INR 30 Crore).
Prof. Vimal is currently Editor of the “Journal of Indian Chemical Society”, published by Elsevier; “Transactions of Indian National Academy of Engineers” and “Journal of The Institution of Engineers (India): Series E, Chemical and Textile Engineering”, published by Springer. He has also Guest Edited Special Issues in Energy & Fuels, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, and the International Journal of Green Energy and Catalysts.
Prof. V.C. Srivastava has been awarded numerous Awards like “NASI-Scopus Award 2018”, “INSA Young Scientist Medal 2012”; “INAE Young Engineers Award 2012”; “Herdilia Award for excellent contribution in Chemical Engineering 2022”, “Hindustan Lever Award for Outstanding Chemical Engineer of the Year 2020”, “Prosper.Net-Scopus Young Researcher Award 2010 for whole Asia-Pacific region” etc. Prof. Srivastava received the IIT Roorkee Outstanding Young Faculty Award 2017 (with an Institute Research Fellowship).
