Dr. Shivanand S Gornale M. Sc. in Computer Science. M.Phil. in Computer Science., Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Pune, in 2009 under the guidance of Dr. K V Kale and has been recognized as research guide for Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Rani Channamma University, Belagavi and Jain University Bangalore. He has published more than 110+ research papers in various National and International Journals and conferences. Dr. Shivanand Gornale served as a lecturer in C. B. College Bhalki from 26.07.195 to 31-07-2006, Sr. Lecturer in VIIT Baramati from 01.08.2006 to 20.02.2008, Assistant Professor in Govt. College, Mandya from 26.02.2008 to 03.09.2013 and from 04.09.2013 to 3.09.2016 as a Associate Professor and 04.09.2016 to till date as a Professor in Rani Channamma University, Belagavi
He is an Associate Editor of Artificial Intelligence and Applications (AIA), BonViewPress, Singapore. editorial member for International Journal on Computer Science and IT, International Journal Bioinformatics and Soft Computing (IJBSC), International Journal of Computer Science and Application, International Journal of Signal and Image Processing, International Journal of Machine Intelligence and also working as reviewer for various International journals like ACM/IEEE Transactions, Frontier in AI and Machine Learning, and National Journals. He also worked as National/International Conferences and Workshops Technical Committee Member. Dr. Shivanand Gornale has been nominated as a Best teacher award at university of Pune for the year 2007-2008 and has been also awarded Vidyabhushan” in 2010, by INSA (Indian NET/SET Association, Amravati), Maharashtra-India. He has also been elected as Sectional Committee member for 104th Indian Science Congress during 3-7 Jan-2017, Tirupati. His areas of research interest are Biometrics, Image Processing and Pattern Recognition and Information Communication Technology (ICT).
He has delivered 40+ invited talks in State, national and international conferences/workshops in the field of Image Processing and ICT. He has also been served as a resource person for UGC academic staff colleges in University of Mysore, Karnataka University, Dharwad, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, Dr. BAMU, Aurangabad-Maharashtra, SGB University, Amravati, Bangalore University, Bangalore, Nagpur University, Nagpur, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon-Maharsstra and Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Mysore. He has been a Member of BoA(Board of Appointment) Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, Karnataka University, Dharwad, Advisor to UPSC New Delhi and Assessor for NAAC, Bangalore. He has also visited the Bangkok and Malaysia for the academic purpose.
Dr. Shivanand Gornale worked as Chairman of BOS and BOE in Post Graduate Computer Science and member of Academic Council; he is a member of BOS and BOE of several institutions of Karnataka and across the country. Prof. Gornale has also worked as a Director, IQAC, Member of Taskforce Committee NEP-2020, Nodal Officer of Digital Fluency, E-governance and AISHE; Deputy Registrar, Member of RUSA(Rashtriya Uchatara Shikshan Abhiyan) of Rani Channamma University, Belagavi and Member of Karnataka State Committee of curriculum design in Computer Science.
