About
I manage various programs related to public health at BIRAC- GCI, New Delhi. Earlier, I have worked with Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi and PGIMER, Chandigarh. My research interests are in public health, infectious diseases, diagnostics, drug targets, and antimicrobial resistance.
I worked on the pathobiology of Streptococcus pneumoniae and its drug target during my doctoral research. I have undertaken field studies in the community to study the prevalence of Upper Respiratory Tract pathogens in children. I have an in-depth understanding of microbiology, molecular biology and immunology. I am skilled in surveillance and field studies, data analysis, and managing and coordinating research in public health.
I have received fellowships/grants/awards and trainings from ICMR, PGIMER, NIH, ISPPD, WOHC and LSHTM.
