Dr. Jyotiranjan, a dedicated and resourceful researcher with a strong foundation in heterogeneous catalysis, materials chemistry, and nanotechnology. His academic journey, anchored by a Ph.D. in Chemical Science from CSIR-Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSIR-CSMCRI), has been driven by a deep curiosity about catalyst design, surface interactions, and sustainable reaction processes. His work focuses on developing and mechanistically evaluating transition-metal-based catalysts—especially Ni-, Co-, Fe-, Mn-, Cu-, and Pd- supported systems—for hydrogenation, alkylation, and other selective transformations, emphasizing environmentally friendly and scalable approaches.
Throughout his doctoral research, he have demonstrated a hands-on command of advanced synthesis techniques, catalyst characterization (XPS, TEM, SEM, PXRD, BET, TGA, FT-IR, RAMAN, TPD etc,), and reaction optimization. He is known among peers and mentors for his systematic approach to problem-solving, attention to experimental detail, and collaborative spirit. His contributions include not only meaningful research findings but also a commitment to mentoring juniors, presenting at conferences, and maintaining a high standard of academic integrity.
With a passion for bridging fundamental science and real-world applications, He aims to continue exploring new frontiers in catalysis and material science, contributing to both academic advancement and industrial innovation.
