Niranjan Roy

About

Dr Niranjan Roy, PhD is a professor of Economics at Assam University (A Central University) in India. He has visited France, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Singapore and Germany to attend seminars/conferences and for other academic assignments. He visited Goettingen University, Germany as part of the EU Erasmus Mundus NAMASTE fellowship grant for undertaking post-doctoral research studies in 2016 and 2017.
He was Dean, of the School of Economics and Commerce and also acted as Head, of the Department of Economics for two terms. The current research interests of the Professor Royinclude Agricultural Economics, Environmental Economics and Social sector issues. He is engaged in teaching and active research for more than two and half decades. Prof. Roy has supervised six M.Phil, twenty-two PhD research and six scholars are pursuing PhD research under his supervision. He has authored seven books and published eighty research papers and articles in national and international journals. He has completed six research projects funded by government agencies to date.
