About

Dr. Gajendra Kumar Azad holds a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal, awarded in 2014. He subsequently pursued postdoctoral research in the laboratory of Prof. Eran Meshorer at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2014–2017), where he investigated chromatin biology and epigenetic regulation in mouse embryonic stem cells. From 2017 to 2019, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Prof. Brian K. Kennedy at the National University of Singapore, focusing on aging biology and cellular homeostasis. In 2019, Dr. Azad joined the Department of Zoology, Patna University, Patna, as an Assistant Professor, where he leads the Molecular Biology Laboratory. His research focuses on aging, cellular stress responses, antibiotic resistance using both in vivo and computational approaches. Dr. Azad has authored more than 70 peer-reviewed research articles in leading international journals and continues to contribute to both fundamental and translational research in molecular and cellular biology.
