About

Lei Li obtained his BS from China Agricultural University in 1994 and his Ph.D. from Gunma University Graduate School of Medicine in Japan in 2002. In 2003, he became a visiting fellow, then as a research fellow at National Institutes of Health (NIH) in USA where he mainly worked on mouse pre-implantation embryogenesis and ovarian development in the laboratory of Jurrien Dean. He established his independent research group in 2009 at the State Key Laboratory of Stem Cell and Reproductive Biology, Institutes of Zoology/Chinese Academy of Sciences. By using genetics, embryo culture and ES cells as model systems, Dr. Li's researches focus on molecular basis of early embryonic development.
