Dr. ALOK BEHERA
Karnavati University, Indian Institute of Science, Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad
About
Dr. Alok Behera is an Assistant Professor at the Unitedworld Institute of Technology (UIT), Karnavati University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. Before joining UIT, he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Facility Manager in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. At IISc, he worked extensively on self-healing composites, rapid impact damage repair using frontal polymerization, and out-of-autoclave composite manufacturing techniques. Dr. Behera earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, India. His doctoral research focused on the fatigue behavior of aerospace-grade carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) multidirectional laminates, which were fabricated in collaboration with the National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), Bengaluru. His research expertise includes advanced composites, sustainable manufacturing processes, and the mechanics of polymer matrix composites. Dr. Behera has published over 19 research articles, including 12 in SCI-indexed journals, with 5 featured in Q1-ranked journals.
