About
I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Translational Neuroscience at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. My research focuses on neuroimmunology, with an emphasis on understanding how immune systems are spatially organized within the peripheral nervous system to drive chronic pain and neuroinflammation. My work integrates single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, multiplex imaging, whole-mount tissue analysis, and functional immunology to investigate tertiary lymphoid structures (TLSs), B-cell biology, and neuroimmune interactions following peripheral nerve injury.
Previously, I obtained my PhD in Life Sciences from the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), India, where I investigated the roles of thermosensitive TRP ion channels in cellular physiology and disease.
My long-term research goal is to uncover the cellular and molecular mechanisms that govern neuroimmune communication and to translate these discoveries into novel therapeutic strategies for chronic pain and neurological disorders.
