About
Dr. Md. Meraj Ansari is a Research Professor in the Department of Animal Biotechnology, College of Applied Life Sciences at Jeju National University, Republic of Korea. He earned his Ph.D. in Toxicology from Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi, India. His primary research interests focus on the development of nano–drug delivery systems for the prevention and treatment of inflammatory diseases.
Dr. Ansari is a recipient of the prestigious Young Scientist Award from the Department of Health Research (DHR), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. He previously served as a Young Scientist at the Centre of Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology, Department of Pharmaceutics, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), SAS Nagar, Mohali, Punjab, India. He has also contributed to advanced research at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali, Punjab.
His academic journey began with the completion of his doctoral studies in the Department of Toxicology at Jamia Hamdard University. Throughout his career, Dr. Ansari has demonstrated strong academic excellence by qualifying the National Eligibility Test–Junior Research Fellowship (NET-JRF) and the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in Life Sciences.
Dr. Ansari has made substantial scientific contributions, with more than 32 research articles published in reputed international journals, 16 book chapters, and 3 edited book published by Springer Nature. He is also an active peer reviewer for several high-impact journals, including International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, Environmental Toxicology, and Aging Research Reviews, among others, contributing to the quality and rigor of scientific publishing.
In recognition of his contributions to science, Dr. Ansari has received numerous awards, appreciations, and professional recognitions. He holds life memberships in several international scientific organizations and actively participates in national and international conferences and academic events. Currently, his research focuses on elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and colon cancer, with an emphasis on their prevention and treatment using nanodrug delivery systems.
