Dr Shailendra S. Gurav has a Doctorate in the Faculty of Medicine (2008) from RTM University Nagpur, India, and is currently affiliated as a Professor at Goa College of Pharmacy, Goa, India. Dr. Gurav is the recipient of the "APTI- National Award 2025 for Research and Excellence in Pharmacognosy (Dr M D Kharya Award)" by the 'Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India', “Distinguished Scientist Award-2025” of 'Society for Plant Research', "Senior Research Fellowship" of the 'Indian Council of Medical Research', New Delhi, India, and was also awarded the "International Travel Fellowship" by ICMR, CICS, and the Phytochemical Society of Europe and Asia. Dr Gurav is listed in Stanford University's 'Elsevier's Top 2% Scientists' for 2024 and 2025. He serves as ‘Advisor’ for ‘American Herbal Pharmacopeia,’ Editor for 'Scientific Reports' (Springer Nature), Academic Editor for 'Plos One' (PLOS) and 'International Journal of Food Sciences' (Wiley), ‘Associate Editor’ for the ‘Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine’ (Elsevier) and ‘Current Indian Science’ (Bentham), Guest and Review Editor for ‘Frontiers in Pharmacology’, Editorial Board member, and Reviewer for several International journals. He is a 'Chairperson' of 'Board of Studies' n Pharmacy of Goa University, Goa; Member of 'Board of Studies' in Pharmacy of Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune; Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere, Maharashtra; 'Research Advisory Commitee' member for the Doctoral Program of 'Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education and Research, Wardha, India; Vice- President of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI)-Goa State and Joint Secretary of the Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and Educators (APSE)- Goa State. He has also given the technology transfer of 05 industrial products. His research interests are Nanomedicine, Ayurveda Biology, Natural Products Research, Computational Biology and Plant Biotechnology.
