Dr Lalit Dhurve is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the GH Raisoni University, Saikheda, Pandhurna, Madhya Pradesh, India. Earlier, Dr Dhurve was a Research Associate at the Defence Institute of Bio-Energy Research, Defence Research & Development Organization at Haldwani, Nainital, Uttarakhand, India. He entered the Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwidhyalaya, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India Division of Horticultural Sciences in 2011 and graduated in 2015 after majoring in the field of ‘Horticulture’. He continued his post-graduate studies at the Dr. YSR Horticultural University, Venkataramannagudem, Andhra Pradesh. In particular, he completed an MSc degree in the field of ‘Fruit Science/Pomology’ in 2017. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Kerala Agricultural University, Thrissur, Kerala, in 2022 in the field of ‘Fruit Science/Pomology'. He was appointed as Assistant Professor at the Sardar Patel University, Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh. He was a recipient of two competitive fellowships given by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. He was also granted a fund by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, for entering the Ph.D. Program. His scientific interests include the quality evaluation of fleshy fruits with the use of physiological, biochemical, phytochemical, and molecular approaches, the elucidation of fruit ripening with an emphasis on the development of physiological disorders, and the use of environmentally friendly methods for maintaining the quality of horticultural crops.
