About
Mehabub Rahaman is an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering at Jadavpur Univesity, Kolkata, India, and prior to that, he was associated with Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata. He joined Jadavpur University in 2009 and has over a decade of experience in academic research and teaching. His research areas are Catalysis and Reaction Engineering, Separation with Chemical Reaction, Biodegradable Waste derived Biofuels and other Value Added Chemicals, Adsorption/Electrochemical Techniques in Wastewater Treatment, Carbon Material for Energy Storage, and Chemical Process Development. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati), India. He published two articles in the high-ranked AIChE Journal and one monograph based on his doctoral research project. He received both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. He was honored with the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship to undertake Postdoctoral Research in Europe by the European Commission in 2013. He was a group member of Prof. Alirio Rodrigues at the Laboratory of Separation and Reaction Engineering (LSRE) in the Department of Chemical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering – University of Porto (FEUP), Portugal for his Postdoctoral Research.
