About
Dr. N. Ananthi received B.Sc Chemistry degree from Bharatidasan University, Tiruchirappalli Tamil Nadu, and M.Sc. Chemistry degree from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore Tamilnadu, in distinction grade. She cleared GATE 2005 with 82 percentile while pursuing M. Sc degree. Then she started her research carrier in the department of Chemistry, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India and received Phd degree from NIT, Trichirappalli, India in the topic “Asymmetric Synthesis and Catalysis”. She gained research experience in designing and synthesizing chiral catalysts and their application in enantioselective catalysis, heterogeneous chiral catalysis using mesoporous materials, studying NLO properties of organic compounds. Her research interests include asymmetric synthesis and catalysis, catalysis, drug delivery, organometallic chemistry, green chemistry, DSSCs etc. She received DST Young Scientist award under the fast track scheme in the year 2013. Presently she is having a project funded by BRNS, DAE, Govt. of India. She received Karunya University Achievers Award in the year 2014. She is a member in Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI) and Society of Porphyrin and Phthalocyanins. Phd students are doing research under her guidance and she guided many M. Sc and B.Tech students in their dissertations. She has organized many events such as conferences workshops and seminars. She has delivered invited lectures in conferences, workshops and seminars. She has published more than 25 research articles and a book.
