About

I see design not just as a visual craft, but as a means to untangle complexity—especially where humans and systems meet. My work lies at the intersection of usability, cognition, and technology.
At UPES, I lead the Interaction Design program, mentoring students and shaping research around intuitive, human-centered digital experiences. My academic path began with a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction at IIT Delhi, where I explored cognitive complexity in smart factory interfaces and how overloaded information flows affect usability and decision-making. I extended this inquiry during my postdoctoral research in South Korea, focusing on AR/VR-based interfaces, usability in motion, and experiential feedback systems. My work blends rigorous user research with applied problem-solving, especially in smart manufacturing and healthcare contexts. Throughout my journey, I have published over 25 research papers, earned national and international recognition in HCI and Human Factors, and secured a patent for a biomedical device. However, what matters more to me is the impact—designing systems that not only function but also feel right to those who use them.
