About
Dr. Pankaj Kumar is currently serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Shri Ramswaroop Group of Professional Colleges, Lucknow. He is also holding the responsibility of Convener, Research and Development Cell of the college. With over 24 years of extensive experience in teaching and research, he has made notable contributions to academics, research, and institutional development.
He holds MCA, M.Tech., and Ph.D. degrees, with primary research interests in High-Performance Computing and Computational Linguistics. Dr. Kumar has an impressive research portfolio, having published more than 75 research papers in reputed national and international journals, as well as in conference proceedings published by IEEE, Springer, and ACM. His research achievements further include two published patents and one granted copyright and patent.
Dr. Kumar is a Senior Member of IEEE and a Professional Member of ACM, and also holds Life Memberships in several esteemed professional bodies, including CSI, IETE, ISTE, IAENG, ISOC, and IACSIT. He has served in important leadership capacities as a Management Committee Member of CSI and IETE, Lucknow (2016–2018) and as a Member of the Nomination Committee of the CSI Lucknow Chapter (2021–2022). At present, he continues to serve as a Management Committee Member of CSI and IETE, Lucknow.
Beyond his academic and administrative roles, Dr. Kumar has actively contributed to the global research community as a reviewer for leading international journals, including Springer and IEEE, and as a member of the editorial boards of various international journals. He has also played significant roles in several international conferences as a Reviewer, Technical Committee Member, and Co-Chair.
Under his guidance, five Ph.D. scholars are currently pursuing their research, while five Ph.D. theses and twelve M.Tech. theses have already been successfully awarded, demonstrating his strong commitment to research mentorship, innovation, and academic excellence.
