About
Dr. Anoop Kumar is an Assistant Professor at Department of Culture and Media Studies, Central University of Rajasthan, Ajmer, Rajasthan, India. He has previously worked as Assistant Professor at Amity School of Communication, Amity University, Noida, India.
Dr. Anoop Kumar received Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) from UGC, India to pursue his Ph.D. programme. He has earned his Doctoral Degree in Mass Communication from Pondicherry University, India. His doctoral study seeks to explore the digital transitions and its implications for journalistic practices at two Indian print newsrooms, the Hindustan Times and The Hindu.
Dr. Anoop Kumar's research interests include journalism, digital media studies, communication theories, fake news, media & information literacy (MIL) and qualitative research among others.
Dr. Anoop Kumar has presented papers at National and International conferences. He has bagged two Best Paper Awards on the contributions dealing with the broader theme of fake news. He has published papers in peer-reviewed journals. He has reviewed manuscripts for journals.
