About
Our group studies Mycobacterium leprae and aminoglycosides resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis proteomes for early diagnosis of these diseases in their initial stages. We are currently studying the cell wall and serum proteome of M.tuberculosis and M. leprae respectively using various proteomics tools such as two-dimensional gel electrophoresis, MALDI-TOF/MS, LC/MS, iTRAQ, and other Bioinformatics tools, followed by characterization using a biophysical approach. We are also involved in drug delivery approaches that are of great interest for safer and more effective pharmaceutical therapies.
