About
Dr. Pratibha Pansari is a Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, where her research focuses on advanced biomaterials, surface engineering, and nanomedicine. She completed her Ph.D. in Nanoscience from Sharda School of Basic Sciences and Research, Sharda University. During her doctoral research, she worked as an outreach scholar at the Centre for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, under the INUP-i2i programme supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.
Her current research at IIT Delhi focuses on the electrochemical surface modification of titanium and titanium-based biomedical substrates through electropolishing and anodization. She is also actively working on the development of ultrasound-responsive microbubbles as targeted drug delivery vehicles for controlled and site-specific therapeutic applications. During her doctoral research, she developed natural source-derived carbon quantum dots for bioimaging and theranostic applications.
Her broader research interests include nanomaterials, biomaterials, nanomedicine, drug delivery systems, theranostics, surface engineering of medical implants, and the design of smart multifunctional materials for biomedical applications.
Dr. Pansari possesses expertise in the synthesis, characterization, and functionalization of nanomaterials and biomaterials. She is proficient in a wide range of advanced characterization techniques, including High-Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HR-TEM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Raman Spectroscopy, X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), Zeta Potential analysis, UV–Visible Spectroscopy, Fluorescence Spectroscopy, Contact Angle Measurement, and Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC). She also has experience with cell culture, flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, and biological evaluation of nanomaterials. In addition, she has strong expertise in scientific writing, experimental design, data analysis, and scientific visualization.
Dr. Pansari is passionate about translating innovative materials research into clinically relevant healthcare technologies. Through interdisciplinary research integrating nanotechnology, electrochemistry, and biomedical engineering, she aims to develop next-generation therapeutic and diagnostic platforms that can address real-world medical challenges. Beyond research, she enjoys mentoring young researchers and exploring literature and philosophy, which continue to inspire her scientific curiosity and creativity.
