About
My research explores urban and world literature, focusing on how fiction set in cities reveals the temperament of dwellers and their perceptions of urban life. I have examined Bengaluru’s urbanscape and digital projects that document city life, the identity crisis of Pondicherry’s merchants and elites, its old cafés, the ancient trade networks of Mangaluru, and Chandor, the former capital of Goa. I have written research essays on related themes too.
