Dr. Seema Parmar is presently working Deputy Librarian at Nehru Library, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU), Hisar, Haryana. She has done her M.A. (English) and P.G.D.T. from Panjab University, Chandigarh and M.L.I.Sc. from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. She has obtained her Doctoral degree from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra on the topic “User awareness and use of electronic journals in technical university libraries of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi.”

She has published 41 articles in renowned journals and books. She is editor of five books, one Reference Manual and editor of an International Journal “International Journal of Information Movement”. She is member of ILA, AALDI , LPA, ASLIP and HLA. She has been coordinator of two National level workshops, two University level training programme for students and Jt. Organising Secty of one National level conference (NACLUC-2017). She has been the resource person of technical writings in many training programmes organized at University level as well as other institutions. She has received many appreciations at University level as well as from e-Granth, ICAR.

She has played an important role in framing the policy of subscription of Only Online Journals for Nehru Library, CCSHAU. She has also implemented RFID technology in Nehru Library, CCSHAU. She has participated in many seminars/ conferences/ training programmes at various institutes at National level.

Her areas of interest include IT and Electronic Resources. She has delivered following lectures:

• Research Papers: Presentation and Techniques/ Art of article Writing
• Information Transfer System
• Krishikosh: A digital repository in the field of Agricultural Sciences
• Indiastat: A statistical tool for Research
• Journey from Libsys to Koha (This will cover Data migration from libsys to koha, Koha installation, Koha modules, Working on koha, etc)
• Innovative technologies and best practices in agricultural libraries in India
