About

With over 15 years of international (USA) professional experience, I am a scientist recognized for my contributions to biomedical research in a diverse array of fields including infectious diseases, inflammation, cardiovascular diseases, metabolic disorders, cancer, and stem cell research.

My independent journey truly began during a distinguished period (2008-2012) serving as an Assistant Professor at a U.S. Medical School (one of the top 100 medical schools in the U.S.), where I cultivated and refined my leadership skills.

One of the highlights of my career is my role as the inventor of a pivotal U.S. patent targeting the treatment of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases, underscoring my commitment to innovative solutions in healthcare.

Additionally, I have successfully directed cell-based clinical trials, showcasing my ability to translate cutting-edge research into real-world applications.

As both a self-driven individual and an independent thinker, I thrive on bridging the gap between academia and industry. With over a decade of industrial experience, I bring a unique perspective to my work, blending a passion for both translational and fundamental research.

My contributions to the scientific community extend beyond the laboratory. I have authored close to 70 peer-reviewed research articles (total citations #3164, 45 average citations per paper, h-index 24, and i10-index 26) in esteemed international journals such as JCI, JBC, and PNAS, as well as contributed to books and book chapters. I am a sought-after presenter at national and international conferences, including prominent gatherings like Keystone, ADA, and ASBMB meetings.

In addition to my research endeavors, I serve as a principal consultant on research grants and manuscripts, leveraging my expertise to guide and shape impactful scientific endeavors. I am also deeply committed to science communication, serving as a passionate science correspondent and storyteller, engaging both in outreach efforts and within the scientific community.
