Ashok Kumar Sekar

Dr. S. Ashok Kumar is a distinguished Associate Professor of Biotechnology, Anna University. He has done doctoral research on hypercholesterolemia and obtained Ph.D. from University of Madras during 2007. Later, he joined as a Post-doctoral fellow at CancerCare Manitoba, University of Manitoba, Canada, wherein, he received CancerCare Post Doctoral Research fellow award from Manitoba Health Research Council (MHRC), Canada.

At present he is actively involved in the research field of targeting signaling pathways in metabolic disorder and cancer. Currently he is guiding four Ph.D. students and two MS (By Research) students and also guided several M.Tech students. His research work has been supported by grants from national funding agencies. His research findings were published in 10 international journals and a book chapter. He is an active Member of Board of Studies in Biotechnology and Member of Editorial Board of scientific publication.
