About
Mr. PELATI ALTHAF is a highly motivated researcher specializing in Physics and Atmospheric Sciences. He is working as a Research scholar and JRF under the guidance of Dr. Kanike Raghavendra Kumar (Associate Professor & PI for DST-SERB-SRG Project) in Physics-Atmosphere Sciences from Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation (Deemed to be University) in Guntur. He completed his Master of Science in Physics (Electronics) from Sri Krishnadevaraya University in Anantapur. Prior to that, he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Maths, Physics, and Computer Science from Sri Venkateswara University in Tirupati. Pelati has a strong academic background, including SSC from Sri Adbhutha Vidyanikethan and Intermediate studies in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry from Sri Gayathri Junior College.
Althaf has gained valuable research experience through his involvement in various projects. He conducted research at ISRO-NRSC in Hyderabad and also served as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under India SERB (SRG) Project in KLEF (Deemed to be University), Guntur. His research interests primarily focus on aerosol vertical and horizontal concentrations, aerosol properties, and their impact on meteorology, air pollutants, air quality, and climate change. He is conducting research on long-term datasets from multisatellites over Andhra Pradesh State, utilizing AI/ML models for enhanced forecasting and prediction of air quality. He is also an expert in measurements using the MICROTOPS-II Sunphotometer, Aethalometer, and Air Quality Sensors at KL University Site, India.
Althaf has published research articles in international SCI journals and has presented his work at several conferences, including the International Conference on Advanced Functional Materials (ICAFM) and the International Conference on Sustainability: Integrated and Scientific Approach (ICS). He is a member of the Indian Aerosol Science and Technology Association (IASTA), India Laser Association (ILA), the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), the Hong Kong Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society (HKCBEES), and the Asia Society of Researchers (ASR).
With strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, Althaf is capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team. He possesses excellent communication and writing skills, which enable him to effectively disseminate his research findings. He is dedicated to contributing to the field of Atmospheric Sciences through his research and seeks opportunities to make a positive impact on air quality and climate change.
