About
Dandamudi Usharani, an Indian chemist, earned a gold medal in BSc Chemistry (1996) and completed her M. Sc and Ph. D in Chemistry at the University of Hyderabad in Prof. E.D. Jemmis Group. She was a postdoctoral fellow in Prof. S. Shaik’s group at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, focusing on electronic structure and reactivity in complex systems. As Senior Principal Scientist and Group Leader (Oils and Fats), she integrates analytical chemistry, lipidomics, and molecular modeling to study fats and oils, bioactive lipids, nutraceuticals and disease mechanisms. She actively contributes to National (BIS, FSSAI) and International (Codex, and WHO) regulatory bodies, and is a member of ACS, CRSI, AOAC, AFST(I), and other professional bodies
