About
Greetings. I am Dr. Prashant Mishra. I am currently working as Assistant Manager for Hindustan Petroleum Corporation R&D center, Bengaluru India since Feb 5th, 2016. Prior to that I had worked as Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Ottawa, Canada in Prof. Abdelhamid Sayari Lab.
I have completed my PhD on Nov 19th, 2014 from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (India) under the supervision of Dr. Sasidhar Gumma and Prof. Bishnupada Mandal. My PhD dissertation is entitled “The Role of Framework Flexibility and Coordinatively Unsaturated Metal Sites on Gas Adsorption of Selected Metal Organic Frameworks”. During doctoral research, I have synthesized and characterized several metal organic frameworks (MOFs) for adsorption based CO2 capture and energy storage applications. In total till now, I have published 9 papers in reputed international journals (like ChemSusChem, Langmuir, Journal of Physical Chemistry C etc.) with more than 102 citations, h-index of 6 and accumulated impact factor of 31.
In prior qualifications, I have obtained my B.Tech from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur in 2008. I qualified GATE-08 in Chemical Engineering with AIR-474 and was awarded MHRD fellowship during PhD at IIT Guwahati.
