About
I am a dedicated environmental researcher with a strong academic background in geology and a Ph.D. specializing in environmental pollution. My research expertise lies in assessing microplastic and heavy metal contamination across freshwater ecosystems, with a focus on spatial distribution, polymer identification, and ecological risk analysis.
My doctoral research, recently submitted at the University of Madras, explored the abundance, sources, and environmental risks of microplastics in the freshwater lakes of Kashmir Valley. I bring advanced skills in instrumental techniques, including FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), and X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) for precise pollution characterization.
I am passionate about advancing sustainable solutions for pollution mitigation, ecosystem management, and environmental policy development. Actively seeking roles in academia, research, or environmental consultancy, I aim to contribute to innovative strategies that address pressing global challenges in pollution and sustainability.
Key Skills:
Microplastic Abundance, Distribution & Polymer Identification
Heavy Metal Analysis in Environmental Matrices
Ecological and Environmental Risk Assessment
Advanced Spectroscopic & Analytical Techniques (FTIR, Raman, AAS, XRF)
