About
My research area is organocatalytic asymmetric transformations which involves the use of small organic molecules as catalysts. These organocatalysts are usually more stable, less expensive and readily available and can be applied in less demanding reaction conditions than transition metal catalysts and their use reduces the toxicity of products. Among the different classes of organocatalysts, our group is actively working on the use of Cinchona alkaloids which is a very useful class of organocatalysts for catalyzing variety of enantioselective organic reactions.
