About
I am currently working as Scientist at Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute in Finfish Fisheries Division (ICAR-CMFRI). I have joined the institute in 2016 and currently working at Veraval Regional Station, Gujarat of the Institute. My fields of interest and expertise are Population dynamics, Fish taxonomy and biogeography, Fish reproductive and feeding biology, stock assessment of aquatic organism, Aquatic ecosystem and Ecosystem modelling, conservation and Fisheries Management. I am presently involved in research related to sustainable management fisheries resources in Indian Ocean, linking primary productivity to fish production, elasmobranch conservation and management. I am an invited member of the IUCN Species Survival Commission (SSC) for Croaker and Drum Fishes Red List Authority 2021-2025. I am also the working group leader (WGL) for croaker resource of the ICAR-CMFRI.
