About
Dr. Janki Mistry is a faculty of Finance at the Department Of Business and Industrial and Management, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat. She has an MBA degree (Distinction- Gold medal) in Finance from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University and a Doctorate in Management from the same university. She has also completed a one year Post Graduate Diploma in Research Methodology. Majority of her research and publications are in the area of Corporate Restructuring and Mergers & Acquisitions and the stock markets. She has been teaching post graduate courses in the field of Business Management since the past fifteen years. Dr. Mistry worked with Kotak Mahindra Bank before joining academics.
Besides her core subjects, she conducts student development workshops in Business communication and Interview Skills, Financial Modelling using R and EXCEL, Valuation of companies etc. She has been a resource person for faculty development programmes of various institutes for topics such as Publishing in Journals of repute, case method, Data Analysis using R, Use of Referencing tools etc. She also serves on the review panel of an international Scopus indexed publication.
Dr. Mistry is also a supervising teacher for Ph.D. in the Management Faculty; 2 candidates have completed their doctoral degree and 4 are pursuing their Ph.D under her guidance.
She has 28 publications in National and International Journals and has presented several research papers in International conferences in Singapore, Paris and India.
She is closely associated with the industry and serves on the board of INFINA FINANCE PVT. LTD. in the role of an independent director.
She is a member in the NRG and Education committees of the South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
She is actively involved in student activities and enjoys organizing student led events.
Her hobbies include classical dance and light music. She is also a voracious reader and enjoys travelling.
