About
Dr. Awani Kumar Singh is currently serving as the Head of the Regional Station, FSRCHPR, Ranchi (ICAR-Research Complex for Eastern Region). Previously, he held the position of Principal Scientist at the Centre for Protected Cultivation Technology (CPCT), ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI), New Delhi. He holds an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Horticulture.
Dr. Singh's research primarily focuses on vegetable breeding for protected cultivation, standardization and optimization of production technologies for greenhouse vegetable cultivation, and the development of integrated approaches for vegetable protection under controlled environments.
In addition to his research contributions, Dr. Singh is actively engaged in postgraduate and doctoral teaching and has successfully guided six M.Sc. and two Ph.D. students.
