About
Nagamalai Vasimalai obtained his PhD degree (November 2013) in Chemistry from Gandhigram Rural University, India, under the supervision of Professor S. Abraham John. His field of specialization has been focused on the synthesis of metal, fluorescent and metal oxide nanoparticles for bio and toxic chemicals sensor and cancer therapy applications.
In December 2013, he joined as a Postdoctoral Fellow in National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. From March 2015 to March 2018, he worked as a Marie Curie (CO-FUND) Postdoctoral Fellow in International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL). Since April 2018, he is working as Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) at the Department of Chemistry, B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology (Deemed to be a University), Chennai-48, India. At present he is supervising four Ph.D students and 10 Master project students.
