About

Dr. Md Abdul Hye Khan is an accomplished preclinical drug development researcher and educator with over 15 years of experience in biomedical education and research. He is a recognized expert in integrative physiology, pharmacology, and in vivo preclinical and translational research focused on cardiovascular, renal, and anti-fibrotic drug development. Dr. Khan also has a robust background in clinical research, having served as a Research Fellow in a large hospital setting, and has industry experience as a Research Scientist in a biopharmaceutical company. His expertise also spans epidemiological research, health data collection, and data curation. He has authored or co-authored 81 peer-reviewed research and review articles, 2 book chapters, and over 50 scientific abstracts. His scholarly impact is reflected in a Google Scholar H-index of 29. Dr. Khan has mentored 17 undergraduate students, 6 medical students, 2 postdoctoral fellows, and 2 graduate students, demonstrating a strong commitment to academic mentorship and training. His research contributions have been recognized with multiple awards, fellowships, and grants from prestigious organizations including the American Heart Association, Pharmaceutical Foundation of America, American Physiological Society, and the American Society for Pharmacology & Experimental Therapeutics. He holds three U.S. patents for novel therapeutic molecules targeting cardiovascular, cardiometabolic, and renal diseases. Dr. Khan serves on the editorial boards of several leading journals, including BMC Nephrology and Frontiers in Pharmacology. He has also held leadership roles within professional societies, including serving as a Councillor for the Great Lakes Chapter of ASPET and as a member of the Conference and Meeting Committee of the Missouri Physiological Society.
