About
Prof. Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain was born in Pabna, Bangladesh, in 1983. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree and Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) degree in ICE from Pabna University of Science and Technology at 2025 and 2020, respectively. Before that, he completed his BSc (Honours) and MSc degrees in Information and Communication Engineering (ICE) from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, in 2005 and 2006, respectively. He has accumulated several years of experience in programming and the broader IT sector. Currently, he serves as a professor and Head of the Department of Information and Communication Engineering at Pabna University of Science and Technology, Pabna-6600, Bangladesh. His primary research interests include image processing, machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence. He has published numerous papers in indexed journals and conferences, as well as reviews for several SCI/SCIE indexed journals and international conferences. In addition, he has previously held the following positions: i) Director, ICT Cell, PUST, ii) Technical Focal Point, GST Integrated Admission System, iii) Joint Secretary, Teacher's Association, PUST, iv) DSPM, Campus Network Sub-Project, BdREN, PUST, v) Coordinator, MICT Evening Program of ICE department, PUST.
