About
I am working as senior postdoc at the University of Bergen, Norway on deciphering the molecular links between two classes of neuronal maladies, namely, neuropsychiatric disorders and neurodegeneration. Previously, I worked as a senior researcher at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India, and investigated self-assembly processes such as liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS) and aggregation of an intrinsically disordered prion-like domain of TDP-43 (PLD) and a neuronal protein alpha-synuclein. My recent work shows that the aggregation and LLPS of TDP-43 PLD is uncoupled and that aggregation can also happen without an accompanying LLPS state.
